The new pediatric oncology and hematology hospitalization area at the Vall d’Hebron Barcelona Hospital Campus is now a reality. The space was recently presented at an institutional event that highlighted the results of a project focused on improving the hospital experience for pediatric patients and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

At SEROM, we have had the opportunity to be part of this project, developed jointly with AGEFRED, and to attend the presentation of a space that represents a step forward in the humanization of healthcare environments.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A project driven by committed entities<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new area is part of the Realitat Millorada<\/strong> project, an initiative made possible through the involvement of various entities. During the event, the Small Foundation, the Aladina Foundation, and the Albert Bosch Foundation shared a few words that highlighted the social and human value of the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Collaboration between institutions, foundations, and technical teams has been key to making possible a space that goes beyond healthcare functionality, focusing on the emotional well-being of children and their families.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spaces designed to accompany the care process<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The new unit has been designed with criteria that prioritize environmental quality and comfort. The spaces incorporate spacious and bright environments<\/strong>, more comfortable rest areas, and a layout that facilitates family life and helps reduce stress during hospital stays.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This approach responds to a growing trend in the healthcare sector: the humanization of spaces, understanding that the physical environment has a direct impact on the recovery process and the patient experience.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
