SEROM makes progress on the construction of the Prat de la Fraga development in Andorra in the heart of winter
Work on the Prat de la Fraga residential development in Andorra continues to advance at a good pace despite the demanding conditions typical of winter in mountain environments. The project, which SEROM is developing in a UTE (Temporary Business Union) with the local company Locubsa, highlights the team’s capacity for adaptation and planning in complex climatic contexts.
Working in these conditions involves much more than managing cold or snow. It requires precise logistical organization, detailed planning of work phases, and a technical team capable of anticipating any factor that might affect the progress of the work.
Project Evolution by Phases
The project is being developed in two distinct phases, with a total of 28 homes. Currently, Phase 1, comprising 15 homes, is fully erected and covered, with interior work already underway. Concurrently, Phase 2, with 13 homes, is progressing with the execution of the above-ground structure.
This evolution reflects a sustained pace of work and proper coordination of teams, despite the difficulties associated with meteorological conditions and the logistical complexity of the territory.
Construction in Mountain Environments
Construction in mountain areas during winter presents specific challenges that affect both planning and execution. Access to the site, material supply, and team safety require particularly careful management.
In this context, every decision is key: from the organization of tasks to the optimization of execution times. Adaptability, anticipation, and technical knowledge are determining factors to ensure project continuity.
With this project, SEROM continues to consolidate its experience in demanding environments, demonstrating its capacity to develop residential projects with guarantees, even in adverse climatic conditions.
