An intervention that transforms a space into a specialized, functional, and adapted healthcare facility

The Sant Joan de Déu Child and Adolescent Mental Health Day Hospital in Vilafranca del Penedès is a key initiative for the implementation of a new specialized healthcare facility in the region.

SEROM has carried out the adaptation and commissioning of the space, transforming it into a modern, functional healthcare center adapted to the specific needs of youth mental health care. The intervention included the comprehensive organization of care spaces, with the creation of therapeutic rooms, activity areas, and common zones, as well as the implementation of necessary technical facilities and services for the proper functioning of the center. The project has been developed with criteria of efficiency, comfort, and flexibility, ensuring adequate spaces for clinical care and multidisciplinary work. The intervention has provided the center with a safe and welcoming environment, with a configuration that promotes natural light, environmental quality, and user well-being. SEROM has contributed to making a local healthcare facility a reality, capable of responding to the growing needs in child and adolescent mental health with a functional, efficient, and people-oriented infrastructure.
