Commencement of works for the Únicas SJD center: Innovation and commitment to rare diseases

In collaboration with Calaf Constructora, we have commenced works on the new Únicas SJD monographic center, a pioneering project dedicated to the care and research of pediatric rare diseases. This center, promoted by the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu de Barcelona, is an example of medical innovation and social commitment, two fundamental values in our development strategy.
What is the Únicas SJD center?
The Únicas SJD center is a project that goes beyond typical hospital infrastructure. The objective is to create a global reference space for the research and treatment of rare diseases. Rare diseases affect millions of people worldwide, but their infrequent nature often means they do not receive adequate attention. This center aims to change that reality.
Estimated completion date: End of 2025
Upon completion, the Únicas SJD center will become one of the largest campuses in the world dedicated to rare diseases. This new building will be equipped with the most advanced technologies to facilitate research and the development of innovative treatments for children affected by these pathologies.
